Ghana Independence Celebration & Potluck
Ghana gained independence on March 6th, 1957. Every year in March, we take time out to celebrate our roots and share our cultures. It is always a fun day filled with Ghanaian cuisine, music, cultural displays, dance, games and happy faces. It is a great opportunity to reconnect with friends and make new ones. It is also a good moment to learn about Ghanaian cultures and people. We always strive to ensure that everybody no matter their nationality feels welcome. It happens only once a year though.

This was a truly multicultural event considering the diversity of performers and the makeup of the audience. The event received performers such as Poncho, the Locran Tones Band and the Unity Dancers all representing different nationalities.
